AROUND THE WORLD, since the 1988 movie "BloodSport", the name Van Damme has inspired people for over three decades. Van Damme is the one name most people easily recognize and associate to the martial arts. Van Damme is not only a revered icon for karate, but an acknowledged international movie star. His films have earned over $1 billion world-wide.
Looking exceptionally fit, healthy and happy, Van Damme as a super movie star, a noted champion, as a father, a husband, and as an every day person in his familiar French. Van Damme humbly presents his own views about how to achieve success and personal happiest in life.
While a majority of us have been treated to his amazing and spectacular karate skills, Van Damme now treats his audience to his cultivated side, presenting his visionary goals for himself, his fans and his desire for his future films to carry significant and creative value.
"When you believe in something, and when you can mentally imagine victory -- then you have already won the battle that is to come", Van Damme has said acknowledging he had learned from his one karate defeat and that knowledge has since aided and guided him to this day!
Like countless millions around the world, I too was greatly inspired by Van Damme. I have competed in over 70 Taekwondo Tournaments, placing 5th in the Canada 2008 National Canadian Taekwondo Championship (WTF) in the "featherweight, senior black belt category, Province I representing: Quebec.
I have also perform as an actor or stuntman in over 30 short films which depict the high energy and spectacular feats needed in complex martial arts fight scenes.
I would be pleased if (1) you would be interested to read Van Damme's Biography that I co-wrote as it appears on http://www.fandamme.net and/or (2) watched me starring in my own video demonstrating a high energy martial art fight: The Interrogation Room. I play a police detective (white shirt) who in a down and dirty exchange with a terrorist suspect deliver a real "kick-ass" type of interrogation!
